I didn't know YouTube had a video awards ceremony. Who could forget the Chocolate Rain viral video by 25 year old Tay Zonday? Zonday is one of 12 to win the YouTube Video Awards and won in the Music category. The program is in its second year. His video Chocolate Rain had 15,768,410 views. WATCH VIDEO
Tay says in an AP interview:
It's the new Emmys...It's the next Oscars. The next People's Choice Awards. It'll be interesting to see what happens five years, 10 years (from now)...A lot of people see political commentary in (the song)...A lot of people find humor in it. A lot of people, they say their 2-year-olds can't stop repeating it at bedtime, so lots of people get different things out of the song. And I think the greatest consequence and the greatest mileage it can have is to get people asking questions."

I felt like hearing this old late 80s jam. It reminds me of the old club scene. Working people could relate to this song, and even those of us who weren't working jammed to it like we had a 9-5 on the dance floor.

I am not a hip hopper, but I love and can appreciate a fun tune to lighten up the day. I ran across this video on brightcove, and I must admit, I admire big girl's confidence. The tune is empty, as it is "hookless," LOL, but I respect the fact that everyone looks like they are having fun, has their clothes on, and the beat is infectious! I don't know how old Vee is, but breasts aren't flying across the set, and no one is in a thong, a$$ isn't jiggling uncontrollably. She gets my vote. I wish you success Heavy Vee. Change that name. You deserve better! "Vee" is fine.
I didn't know Jawn's twists/dreads were gone. Celeb gossiper Jawn Murray and comedienne Kym Whitley both watched the vile video clip of "2 Girls 1 Cup." It's not for those with a weak stomach, heart or respiratory condition, and I was duped into watching it. So don't get tricked into viewing it, and I don't recommend that anyone watch it. But overall, the actual video is disgusting and there should only be access to it through a private forum. I know it is tough to regulate the Internet, but what can we do? What is next?
