This was spotted on Vivica Fox's website. Is somebody gettin' called out...lol? Well, I was enjoying my visit until the R.Kelly "go getter" song started playing...then I promptly exited the site.
I guess folks can follow up with www.imreadyproductions.com for more information on the play.
Seems as if almost everyone who saw this romantic comedy stage play loves it. It stars Billy Dee Williams, Leon, Elise Neal, Shirley Murdock and Lenny Williams (oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhhhh, lol). Someone commented that the Black National Anthem was sung at the show. We have it on this site, if you don't know it or need a refresher. It's in one of our earliest posts and has lyrics and music links. The show is produced by Johnson's I'm Ready Productions.

Described by Yahoo! Upcoming:
"Je'Caryous Johnson's romantic comedy, 'Shackin' Up' is the latest from the writer of 'Whatever She Wants.' She's a woman who seemingly has it all. But attorney Chastity Moore is missing the one thing her parents want her to have most... a HUSBAND! Feeling the pressure from her father, Wayne Moore, to finally tie the knot with her longtime wealthy boyfriend, Jamarcus Hansen, Chastity offers what she thinks is the perfect compromise...take marriage for a six month test spin and begin "Shackin' Up!" It's a move that doesn't sit too well with Chastity's mother, Patricia Moore, who can't fathom how a daughter she raised would even think about Shackin' Up."

Actress and Turks and Caicos First Lady, Lisa-Raye McCoy-Misick along with singer Blu Cantrell appeared on Wendy Williams today to talk about a play they are both starring in called 'Gossip, Lies & Secrets.' The interview primarily focused on Lisa-Raye and Wendy seemed to have very little interest in Blu. Lisa-Raye talked about some of her duties as being First Lady, her daughter, Will & Jada Pinkett Smith and rumored tension, her recent celebrity birthday bash (she turned 40), rumors about her husband (Dr. Michael Misick, Prime Minister of Turks and Caicos) and her reputation with the people of the country, and her choice to “upgrade” in her selection of a man, and her socioeconomic status.
Wendy asked Blu Cantrell about previous rumors about hip-hop mogul Jay-Z. Every few minutes Blu would interject with yelling out the play’s name or, “Can we talk about the show?” LOL. Must suck when you don’t have a whole lot going on. Wendy was right. Lisa-Raye sucked the air out of the room. Seems like the whole room was in awe of her. The interview takes a dive when Wendy drags out the lesbian intern Christina to judge them. LOL. The crickets sound at the end when Blu mentions her cd is coming out and Wendy sounds like she’s having an ‘o’ at the end…after they exit, “yeah, yeah,” at this point she appears speechless…LOL
Tickets for the play can be found at Ticket Master.
TheaterSource describes the play plot as:
“From Angela Dunlap, writer of 'If These Hips Could Talk,' comes a new musical stageplay about sultry stories, seductive sirens and scandalous secrets. 'Gossip, Lies & Secrets' tells the tale of an author, an R&B super diva, and a soap opera star. They are bound by an unspoken commitment to be each others confidant and best friend. All is fine until the author gets her big break to write a novel. In sheer desperation, she makes a plot-twisting decision to save her career by breaking the sacred pact of her friends and divulge her best friends' innermost secrets. The show features a talented cast led by LisaRaye, Blu Cantrell, Kenya Moore and Christopher Williams, with Malik Yoba, Clifton Powell, Tony Grant, Lia Grant and Patrice Lovely. Cast lineup is subject to change.”
