Us Magazine has an article which quotes the View's Sherri Shepherd by way Precious Times, a black Christian women's magazine in its latest issue on how chaotic her upbringing and promiscuity, and that life was so tough that there was not much to live for.

Us Magazine:

"My sister was heavy into drugs, and we would have to go and get her from crack houses," Shepherd, 41, says.

At the time, the stand-up comic — then a Jehovah's Witness – was "in a very physically abusive relationship," she said. "I was sleeping with a lot of guys and had more abortions than I would like to count."

She said her self-esteem became so low, "I felt if someone killed me, it wouldn't even make a difference."

But after converting to Christianity, she said, "God showed me that it would make a difference." READ MORE...

Since she is a public figure is is it a good thing that she revealed these painful details of her personal life, or should some things like this just be kept private or in a smaller forum? I know plenty of people can relate to those situations she experienced.

What's going on with our men you ask? Let me explain. More and more they're being raised by women who pass on their material lust to their sons. That's not all women but it's a lot of these young mothers who think they can raise a man on thier own. We now have men who exude feminine traits. They have hair longer than their sister, sport diamonds in both ears bigger than thier mother and love furs more than their grandma. This is what happens when hoochies have kids and raise them on thier own. The girls become video hoes and the boys are just hoes. Let me ask this. How many women on this site acted as if thir son was Samson and refused to cut his hair? Then you ask what happened to the men? "---This response was from a reader over at Media Take Out, who was responding to another reader who had asked what happened to our men.

The leading story was one which was burning up the blogs on black and urban blogs and at the time I created this entry, and had not caught on to mainstream web/blogsites. But an artist whose stagename is Raz B, formerly of a now defunct boy pop-hip-hop quasi R & B group, called B2K, is making molestation charges at their former manager(possibly cousin) named Chris Stokes. You can find the video on the Internet and here are links to the stories on Media Take Out and Sandra Rose. Other names linked to this story on blogs include Marques Houston, Omarion, Ricky Romance. The story is an important one as it draws conclusions: non-believers, believers, and those that don't care. I say, if Stokes is guilty, then he needs to be punished. And the videos out with Raz B exposing these allegations in video taped phone conversations, along with his brother Ricky Romance, appear to be damaging (in a one sided way). So far, on the other side Stokes has reportedly denied these allegations, and most recently Raz B has retracted some parts of his story.

Many components factor into this story, but that one question written above and the response from another MTO reader made me think again, about that question of what is going on with our men?

Don't mess with Patti LaBelle and her furs. She was recently quoted by Newsweek:

"I don't want PETA to get mad at me, but I love chinchilla. But you know I work for it. When they start buying me coats is when I start listening to them."

humph...lol, she's right! Now that I think about it-- I have not heard of a red paint incident with Mary J. Blige, Whitney, or Patti. They approached Beyonce, but nothing which borders on a battery. In general, do they throw red paint on celebs anymore?

Is A-Rod WORTH $350 Million???

This is just got-dang-ridiculous...lol & smh at the same time. But there is a report that Yankees, now free agent Alex Rodriguez gave a bottom line re-sign contract figure of AT MINIMUM $350 million, which would keep him suited in NY Yankees garments. If this is true, I just don't know what to say.

Yes, he is considered the best all around ball player and historically may be considered the best all time player, and I know he has a family to feed and a new baby on the way, but got dammm! LOL, is this PURE greed or a case of A-Rod just trying to "get his?"

$1 million is nothing anymore. It is yesterday's $100,000. It seems as if everyone is racing to get to billionaire status. I guess having a few million is not exciting anymore.

The Alliance Review reports:

"Carlos Santana and his wife of 34 years are divorcing, according to court documents.

Deborah Santana, who in her 2005 memoir "Space Between the Stars" described her guitarist husband as being unfaithful, filed for divorce in Marin County Superior Court on Oct. 19, citing irreconcilable differences.

Carlos Santana's publicist, Michael Jensen, said the case is "a private matter and there is no comment."

The musician has said he knew he made mistakes in his marriage.

"I sincerely apologized to her and to my kids when I wasn't in my right mind and did something hurtful," Carlos Santana said after the memoir was published.

"It has helped me become more humble and to try harder to be the man she wants me to be."" READ MORE...

I am wondering why there is emphasis on the cheating in the reporting of this news....hhhmmm, just makes one wonder.

Here's another GOTCHA! scandal. A & E suspends his show on the heels of a scandalous National Enquirer Exclusive allegedly of him shouting the N-word repeatedly via a taped conversation, and allegedly having a hard time dealing with someone's relationship with a black girl. It's a wrap for this dude. Looks like the dog stepped in his own poop!

The National Enquirer writes:

"Dog Chapman has been captured spewing foul-mouthed racist slurs on a tape obtained exclusively by The NATIONAL ENQUIRER.

And now a civil rights leader is calling for Dog's TV show to be removed from the airwaves.

In a shocking world exclusive The ENQUIRER has obtained tapes of two revolting phone conversations in which Duane "Dog" Chapman unleashes a filthy bigoted attack, littered with the N-word and other disgusting racial insults. "

Roberto Cavalli has allegedly confirmed, in a Paris Hilton/Christina Aguilera kind of way, that Jennifer Lopez is pregnant.

Yahoo! reports:

"Asked what types of clothing he designs for celebrities, the fashion designer told People magazine: "Well Jennifer Lopez, at this moment, she requests something very special because she is waiting for the baby."

"It is so complicated because every week she is getting bigger," Cavalli said in a story posted Tuesday on the magazine's Web site." READ MORE...

Popular blogger Sandra Rose wrote on her site re: arrested rapper, T.I. or TIP:

"Last Friday, I received a call from an Atlantic records exec who informed me that T.I.'s lawyers were discussing amongst themselves the fact that the judge read my blog and was "very angry" by what he read. The exec indicated that the judge may have been angry enough to alter his decision to release T.I. on house arrest last Friday. The exec asked me to "be more sensitive" about what I wrote regarding T.I.

I agreed to comply with the record exec's request but later that same night I heard from two others in T.I.'s camp who said T.I.'s lawyers informed them that if T.I. isn't released this coming Friday it will be my fault. As ridiculous as that may sound, I'm taking this reckless innuendo seriously. I decided to post this for two reasons a) because I want this on record just in case, and b) because some people have a hard time accepting the fact that T.I. - not bloggers or the media - is responsible for his current situation.

I don't believe for one minute that the judge reads Sandrarose.com. If I was T.I. I would be concerned about paying all that money to lawyers who would resort to these types of intimidation tactics. The attorneys need to be worried about their case and not about what some random blogger writes." READ MORE...
