I found this over at the Dablabber message forum, and it is a private message board, which I am not a member of, but this sad message was left by the main contributor. The message board admin posted this on the death of her cousin, in Louisiana who was a father, a U.S. veteran (thank you), and his senseless death while DOING HIS JOB AT BURGER KING. I don't think she would mind if I helped spread the word.

These kids with obviously no home training settle a score by shooting someone, because they did not get what they want? This needs to stop. Sounds like the motive was going to be robbery in the first place. Condolences go to her family.

"Never in a million years would have thought that one of my family members would be a victim of a senseless crime!

The words are hard for me to write, but I feel that it is good therapy to ease what I feel inside and get this off my chest.

Im not sure what is going on in my city. The crime rate is at an all time high!!! We have a serial killier out here.. 7 female bodies have turned up in a 10 mile radius of one another( on seperate days), there are strings of arm robberies going on, car jackings, people killing their children, bank robberies, jealous men killing their ex and burning down their houses and home invasions!!! WTF IS GOING ON OUT HERE???

It seems weird to write a story about my own family member because we usually post stories about other people and their situations. I took off from work and will not return til after the funeral services( whenever that will be)

Wednesday morning. My family and I became one of those tragic stories............

My cousin James Living Jr age 28, a father of 3 small children, an army vet, manager of Burger King and full time student was shot while working at his job at Burger King. According to his co- workers a group of 3 teenage men the oldest may be only 22 came to B.K. at 12:30am demanding that they dine inside. My cousin being the manage talked to them thru the door and told them that the dining area closed at 9pm and only the drive thru was open. They began to argure with him and said they wanted to come inside to eat and use the restroom. He said that he couldnt open the doors that it was against policy and that they were closed. The group continued to argue and bang on the glass. About 10 mins they left and everyone inside thought the situation was over.

20 mins later the group of men returned made an order and when they drove up to the window where my cousin was waiting for their payment one of the teens opened fire on him and shot him in the chest! My cousin was DOA at the hospital.

I just cant get in my head that someone that was working full time and going to school fulltime trying to do everything right in life to take care of himself and his children get shot down like a dog over the fact that some b*tch *ss, wanna be ,show outs couldnt come in to eat!! They know damn well what time the inside closes!!! IM ANGRY!!!!! IM UPSET!!!!!! IM OUTRAGED!!!! IM HURT!!!!! IM LIVID!!!! and any other adjective that you can think of!

Police say the person who killed my cousin that they are looking for is 17 years old!!! I hope he is treated as an adult when this goes to court and this piece of sh*t never sees the light of day! This is the photo of his piece of shit from my local news paper

A Jacksonville, Florida disc jockey was involved in a July 4th altercation with another man who gouged out his eyes and nearly severed his ears. People found the victim lying outside the Starlite Cafe. Folks, I have had a change in heart about gun ownership. We are living in a Rambo society. I have decided to become a gun owner.

This is madness, that only used to happen in other countries. What in the hell is going on in America? Part of the problem is punishment is not barbaric enough to match this criminal nonsense. This guy supposedly just served time...is it really like going away for a vacation? Because some people seem to have no problem with going back to a life of incarceration.

Really, the Canadian Greyhound bus beheading story did if for me, but this eye cutting story just reinforced the idea that I have to own a gun. I don't want to. I don't need to. I HAVE to. Not today. Not tomorrow, but I have accepted the fact that this purchase will be unavoidable. My friend owns one and takes it everywhere he goes, unless I am with him and object. Even in his backyard, it does not matter, black, white, Asian, mixed suburb, neighborhoods, city, countryside…it does not matter. He packs that thing on his waist wherever he goes. I will no longer be objecting. Now-I-understand. I get it.

According to Florida news television station WCTV, U.S. Marshalls found the alleged culprit (Foster Leon) who has been named in committing this act, hiding in Louisiana. Tony Blakley has been left blind in both eyes, because of this attack.

WCTV states: “Leon is a convicted felon who just weeks before the alleged attack had been released from jail. He is currently facing charges of aggravated battery with disability and armed robbery.”

Leon is photo’d above. IF he did this, should he have his eye gouged out as punishment too? A vacation in jail does not seem to deter further criminal activity for many. I don't know what the beef was behind these two individuals, however, is there anything Blakley could have done which warranted having this barbaric act committed against him? Whatever the problem was, the criminal felt this punishment was appropriate for whatever Blakley allegedly did or said.

I have always kept a Swiss Army pocket knife in my glove compartment, because I was always nervous about guns. You never know when you will be stranded on the side the road and some knucklehead comes along wanting to try something. At least, you can draw blood and leave their dna behind.

Nowadays it is not uncommon for verbal disputes to end up with a deadly or near fatal result. Here is what happened in Seattle as columnist Robert L. Jamieson Jr. pens his article, "Another dead black kid -- still no justice":

This touched off a volley of words. Before fists flew, Drungo, who authorities say had no part in the initial dispute, approached the shouters. This was his nature. He liked to see people get along, as I learned when I wrote about him after his death, a death that initially elicited little more than a public shrug.

In the cross examination of the alleged victim's former childhood best friend of 10 years, Simha Jamison, AP reports:

"Adam also showed pictures of a shirtless Kelly and asked Jamison how she knew it was his body on the video. "His head was attached to it," she responded, drawing laughter from several jurors."

Four witnesses including, the childhood best friend Simha, her father, the aunt and uncle of the alleged victim testified.

"She testified that she and her friend visited Kelly at his recording studio and at a Chicago basketball court dozens of times, starting when they were around the age of 12.

Her friend first introduced her to Kelly as "her godfather," Jamison said, adding that the singer frequently gave her friend cash gifts -- "no less than $100 and no more than $500."" READ MORE...

A true testament about forgiveness. This is not the first time Kai Leigh Harriott has forgiven shooter Anthony Warren. When he was sentenced, I remember her saying she forgave him. She was just a baby, and her mom, had not reached that level of readiness for forgiveness.

At that time, I did not give Kai Leigh enough credit, because my thought was: She's young and does not understand the full implications of her disability, and may grow to be quite angry one day. My anger was overwhelming. I was wrong. She still holds forgiveness in her heart and is old enough to understand what has taken place.

A stray bullet shot by Warren struck Kai Leigh in her spine when she was 3 years old and paralyzed her. Warren said he only intended to scare two women when he recklessly fired those shots in Dorchester, MA, which forever changed this young angel’s life. It seems as if this happened not so long ago.

Warren videotaped an apology in an interview conducted by the Center for Teen Empowerment, which produced this documentary called “Voices From Behind the Wall,” a video on inmates at Old Colony Correctional Center. Warren is serving a 13 to 15 year sentence there for the crime. Back then, I remember seeing her in the wheelchair, so easily forgiving of the person who stalled her childhood and robbed her of her physical abilities. More senseless gun violence. WATCH VIDEO

Blogger and Memphis talk radio personality, Thaddeus Matthews has received much heat for the posting pictures of Shindri Roberson’s corpse photos on his website, including what I suspect was a face shot of the body judging by this statement on his blog “As you look at the picture of Shindri Roberson you can see the fright in her face ( Which has been removed) as she died a tragic death.” It has been reported that the pictures were taken at the funeral home without the knowledge of the funeral home service.

Some readers were in favor of him posting the pictures and for those who are ready to tan his hide, his response to some of the comments:

Shindra was one of the six Memphis, Tennessee victims including children either killed, tortured and left to die, and are in critical condition. The devil-animal (Jessie L. Dotson) who is alleged to have done this has been captured & caged like the wild animal he is (IF he did it), and was just recently released from prison after serving a 14 year sentence. I am sorry, but the perpetrator of this crime deserves Third World justice. CHILDREN AREN'T OFF LIMITS ANYMORE. Kids survived brutal attack

I say it always takes at least one courageous person with a vision. This is something you'd expect the federal government to design, create, and deploy out into drug infested neighborhoods.
