In the cross examination of the alleged victim's former childhood best friend of 10 years, Simha Jamison, AP reports:
"Adam also showed pictures of a shirtless Kelly and asked Jamison how she knew it was his body on the video. "His head was attached to it," she responded, drawing laughter from several jurors."
Four witnesses including, the childhood best friend Simha, her father, the aunt and uncle of the alleged victim testified.
"She testified that she and her friend visited Kelly at his recording studio and at a Chicago basketball court dozens of times, starting when they were around the age of 12.
Her friend first introduced her to Kelly as "her godfather," Jamison said, adding that the singer frequently gave her friend cash gifts -- "no less than $100 and no more than $500."" READ MORE...

A true testament about forgiveness. This is not the first time Kai Leigh Harriott has forgiven shooter Anthony Warren. When he was sentenced, I remember her saying she forgave him. She was just a baby, and her mom, had not reached that level of readiness for forgiveness.
At that time, I did not give Kai Leigh enough credit, because my thought was: She's young and does not understand the full implications of her disability, and may grow to be quite angry one day. My anger was overwhelming. I was wrong. She still holds forgiveness in her heart and is old enough to understand what has taken place.
A stray bullet shot by Warren struck Kai Leigh in her spine when she was 3 years old and paralyzed her. Warren said he only intended to scare two women when he recklessly fired those shots in Dorchester, MA, which forever changed this young angel’s life. It seems as if this happened not so long ago. 
Warren videotaped an apology in an interview conducted by the Center for Teen Empowerment, which produced this documentary called “Voices From Behind the Wall,” a video on inmates at Old Colony Correctional Center. Warren is serving a 13 to 15 year sentence there for the crime. Back then, I remember seeing her in the wheelchair, so easily forgiving of the person who stalled her childhood and robbed her of her physical abilities. More senseless gun violence. WATCH VIDEO

Blogger and Memphis talk radio personality, Thaddeus Matthews has received much heat for the posting pictures of Shindri Roberson’s corpse photos on his website, including what I suspect was a face shot of the body judging by this statement on his blog “As you look at the picture of Shindri Roberson you can see the fright in her face ( Which has been removed) as she died a tragic death.” It has been reported that the pictures were taken at the funeral home without the knowledge of the funeral home service.
Some readers were in favor of him posting the pictures and for those who are ready to tan his hide, his response to some of the comments:

Shindra was one of the six Memphis, Tennessee victims including children either killed, tortured and left to die, and are in critical condition. The devil-animal (Jessie L. Dotson) who is alleged to have done this has been captured & caged like the wild animal he is (IF he did it), and was just recently released from prison after serving a 14 year sentence. These posters apparently stem from a PSA print campaign by SERVE, a non-profit ad marketing agency to help fight Milwaukee's statutory rape problem. The campaign NEVER TOOK OFF, because of objections to the images.
But for the intended audience, pedophiles, and even young impressionable girls, this was a messages that probably would have resonated louder, because of the images. Images of supposedly pre-pubescent well developed girls are featured in the campaign's posters.
I don't know any girls who look like this at that age, but to men and women who prey on them, this may be how they see them. The breasts appear fake, but they could have done the poster without the overdevelopment features of the breast and sexualization to reach the ad's intended audience.
Poster captions: "Just because she has the body, doesn't mean she has the brain" and "If you see a child as anything more, it's wrong," and the fine print at the bottom reads "If you're over 18 and having sex with an underage girl it's statutory rape."
This isn't just a Milkwaukee, Wisconsin problem. It's a global problem.

Out of respect for their opinions, this campaign will not run." Serve is the non-profit advertising agency associated with this video and ad campaign.
I am wondering, if statutory rape is such a problem, at least where this ad was targeted, would you find these advertisement images objectionable, in a region where in record numbers, young girls are already having sex and getting pregnant by older boys and men?

I feel like it is open season on children. When Nixzmary was killed, I remember reading the New York Post daily to get details and try to understand why a father (stepfather) could/would slowly torture and a child to death, and why the mother did not protect her daughter.
During the intial criminal investigation, her maternal grandmother had mentioned that her daughter (Nixzmary's mother) had some emotional problems. Her mother and stepdad were arrested and now the trial is finally taking place. I am an advocate of public executions for crimes such as these committed against children. READ MORE...

Last week, in the Boston area, 26 year old Cory Saunder was accused of raping a 6 year old boy in a PUBLIC LIBRARY. The mother was on the computer in the library and the little boy was in the children's section. People have to watch their kids, and this animal was a Level 3 sex offender. Fox News reports Davita Fuller, 26, of Indiana was arrested on charges she gave her 11-year-old daughter alcohol and marijuana as a birthday gift.
According to reports, she offered beer and weed to her daughter and the daughter's friends. The daughter accepted and it has not been reported on whether the friends followed suit.

R. Kelly’s coverage has increased recently due to his long-awaited trial. Right now, I don’t have as much of an opinion as I had when then story first broke. Personally, I think too much time has lapsed. It makes one think, the more a case is delayed, the better the chance of it being dismissed or the defendant winning the case. This You Tube clip is short and interesting. I did not view the film, which alleges R.Kelly committed statutory rape.
Re: this video clip, the film's creator writes: “A preview of a documentary that uses the case of controversial and popular R&B singer R. Kelly to show black womanhood in different ways. The piece uses close ups of four younger black women's faces and values their individual voices and collective experiences to do this. ”
They speak English in Liberia. That’s where Mahamu Kanneh, is from. He graduated from an AMERICAN high school and college in Maryland WITHOUT interpreters. I swear this judicial system can be eff’d up. As Michael Graham of 96.9 FM Talk in Boston put it: “The guy is accused of repeatedly raping and molesting a 7 year old, uses our system against us. Then finds a sympathetic liberal judge who sends him back on the street.”
Fox News reported the prosecutor in Maryland is “filing an appeal of a controversial judge's ruling that dismissed all charges because an interpreter who spoke the suspect's rare West African dialect could not be found…was denied a speedy trial after three years awaiting a court-appointed interpreter who could speak the tribal language of Vai. Linguists estimate that only 100,000 people speak Vai.”
During Michael’s interview, his guest, Chris Core of WMAL of Washington, DC states this animal’s DNA was a match. Listen to the audio I recorded of talk show personality discussing this case with Chris. There needs to be a better way.
