30th Annual Florida Classic

| | Comments (0)

Well, I didn't attend but surely will partake in the festivities next year. This year a reported 60,000 people attended the yearly traditional HBCU football showdown between Bethune Cookman and Florida A&M.

Reports are the event generates a $30 million (dues to all of the associated events) contribution to the local economy and the stadium contract ends next year. However, both teams are happy there. I definitely want to see this in the future, especially "The Battle of the Bands." I know Steve Harvey and crew were broadcasting live in Orlando yesterday morning. It was a blowout. FAMU manhandled B-C, 42-6.
