What was he thinking...?

| | Comments (0)

I was reading the Sunday Boston Globe (the paper that's treading water, and I hope they rebound) and they have this feature called "What they were thinking." It is often a quote from a random person on the street and sometimes makes you raise an eyebrow or two or make you laugh, shake you head, etc. So, I'm reading about this promising young kid thinking: Wow. At such a young age, he really has it all put together, and seems to be engaged in things that he loves, career wise.

Then I read his take on old women at the end and had to laugh. They were right dude, what were you thinking? Wellz, at least he was honest. LOL, but someone forgot to school him on the fact that he could be nipped and capture the nasties as easily by a young woman as he could by a older one. On the other hand, he could have just been implying he did not want to get caught in an older woman's love web. Who knows, perhaps, he opted out of health education class. Do they teach that anymore in high school? I'd think health ed classes would be one of the first classes to face the wrath of the old budgetary chopping block.

"I consider myself an athlete. I used to play basketball in high school. I train every day for breakdancing. We are professional breakdancers. I was just freestyling to some reggaeton. I was working on holding a pose, we call that 'freezes.' It's tough to do, your fingers are squishing in the sand. It's practice, practice, practice. You've really got to work hard to learn technique. I'm also a professional barber. It's my day off but I got phone calls from everybody wanting to get their hair cut. I'm thinking, 'Live life, experience life.' I'm not concerned about getting nipped by a crab. I'm more concerned about getting nipped by an old woman, to be honest." ---(Stan Grossfeld/Globe Staff)
