It's hard to give away petro. REPOST: Black Unity Contest: Win some gas and a fabulous Unitee t-shirt
UNITEE Designs wants to give away free t-shirts and I want to give away some gas, but no entries yet and this is the final week. I ran this post last month, since then many folks have not had the opportunity to read it or knew it exists. We will run the same contest next year and plan to add more prizes. July 10 or 11th marks the 1 year anniversary of this blog, so the contest will run annually around this time. So here it is again.This blog has collaborated with Unitee Design to award three lucky contest winners with one of their fabulous, high quality, professionally designed black pride t-shirts. To enter the contest, you will need to create a short 350 words or less written work on the subject of ‘Black Unity.’
The submission can be a creative or thought provoking opinion, open letter, statement, problems and/or solutions, poetry, lyrics, blog post, a photo with explanation, essay or video less than 5 minutes in length, etc…let your creative juices flow. Submit something you have already written or a video you have already produced and want to share. Three winners will receive a Unitee Design T-Shirt courtesy of Unitee Design, and a Shell or Mobil gas card compliments of WeNeedToStop.com. My favorite entry will receive a $100 gas card, 2nd fave gets a $50 gas card, and the 3rd fave gets $25 gas card.
Any submissions over 350 words will be disqualified and deleted without notice. The submission must be proofread and error free. We will not edit any work, and poorly written work will be deleted. You do not have to feel like you have to write 350 words. Please do not send manuscripts. It is not that serious, and this is supposed to be fun and interesting. We are looking more for quality than quantity. The message is more important than the number or the complexity of the words used. Email one submission per person, and if you are selected, we will need your name and address in order to ship the items. The gas card and t-shirts will be mailed separately, since they will be coming from two different locations.
The submission deadline is June 21, 2008 and the winner’s first name and last initial and state will be listed on the site along with their winning entries and a photo, if they wish to submit one. Winners consent to the publication of the winning entry on this blog WeNeedToStop.com. Check the site on the weekend of June 28 for list of winners. E-mail entries only to weneedtostop[at]mail dot com.
If you are selected as a winner, you will receive email notification, and you will have 2 days to respond to an email requesting your mailing address. If you do not respond, you forfeit your prize, and the next runner up entry will be selected.
