Rihanna spoke with Contact Music on how she's tiring of having to be phony and fake at all times (pretending to be happy) with fans and people in general (when she's actually miserable and unhappy at times), because of her star status in the music industry:
"I love what I do but, yes, this stuff does start to take its toll on you. Sometimes you get really miserable and on the edge, but people don't know why you're acting like that.
"You always want to be kind to people, so you're forced to be a bubbly person, but, to be honest, sometimes I'd just like to sit in a corner by myself and be quiet."

I say, what's wrong with an extended vacation, say a month or two? Do they feel that once they come off of the mountaintop, it will be difficult to climb back up and get back to number 1 or 2, or whatever position she maintains right now? At least she was being honest, and not faking the funk on how her emotions run at times, and how the business forces you to maintain this public persona, even when you don't feel like being cordial and sweet. But isn't it like that with any job? Can a bank teller, doctor, cashier, or the cable guy get away witha b*tchy attitude around clients?
