12 year old b-ball phenom banned from playing with the boys

Twelve year old Oregon student, Jaime Nared was kicking the boys' butts in basketball, and parents started complaining…LOL, supposedly, as a result, a no-mixed gender rule was implemented by the basketball league…LOL. I don’t think the girls should be playing with boys anyway. She looks like a beautiful baby SHAQuila O’Neala, towering over those little boys. Interesting story. Nared is nearly 6'1" and has a goal of being in the NBA, not the WNBA. What's wrong with playing in the WNBA? WATCH VIDEO
Some ABC News reader comments, which I think are more interesting than the actual story:
"It's all about money isn't it? The video was the silliest media circus I've ever seen. I think the ABC News department must be secretly run by Dan Rather! Get your facts straight and start using common sense before you try selling a stupid story like this one! Good grief! I can't wait to see the poor little thing play in the NBA! When some big monster like Ben Wallace fouls her into the bleachers! Would you really want your daughter to do that??? Let her play in the WNBA instead and help that league gain more respect and more fans by showing that she can dominate there."---dad_garland
"Mrs. Nared- Please stop trying to sell the lie that we made any policies based off of your daughter's skill level. These policies were in place before the start of the season and your team's coach signed off on these policies when he registered his teams in the league. He has been told on numerous occasions that these leagues are not co-ed. He should have been honest with you in the beginning. As a private business we DO have the right to run leagues that are NOT co-ed RIGHT? Do you honestly believe that your daughter should be privileged because of her skill level? Does that sound like an argument for equality? As a private business do we have the right to make an all girls league without boys playing in it or does this just apply to the boys? If your daughter is not allowed to play in the NBA will they be facing the headache you have given The Hoop?" ---mattisborn
I watched this video on Yahoo and she's a sweetie. She reminded of Sanaa Lathan's character from Love & Basketball.
If she was that good, she would be playing under-14 or under-16 ball. I played varsity tennis my freshman year of high school, meaning I was playing against 18-year-old high school seniors. This made me better than most. Can you imagine me saying "I want to play with the boys because I'm too good for the girls - but I only want to play against the freshman squad"? Apparently, she lacks the ovaries to move up to a higher level girls' squad. choosing instead to be a 6'1" big fish in a small pond of 5'6" sixth graders.
As a woman mixed martial artist who is forced to spar on a regular basis with men due to lack of women fighters, I have NO sympathy for any female athlete who dubs herself "too good" to play with other females. I'm sick of people using men as the measuring stick of excellence. There is nothing wrong with being a female athlete, dammit!
By the way, I read somewhere that she's playing with a nontraveling basketball team. The article never mentioned her scores. Gee, I wonder why.

Jennifer, I agree with you. Why not stay in the women's league, and make women's sports greater. This happened in tennis. One example: grand slam salaries
Now women, get $1 million in tournament prize money, however, they had to fight for a long time to get tournament organizers to change this policy, which was only instituted with the last couple of years. Make the WNBA greater, so that women can have the same earning power, and command more attention.
