Finally, a Stacy Lattisaw update
Months ago, I combed the web for Stacy updates, but could not find anything except for her company website. Jet magazine offers a few crumbs more than what you can find on the Internet on what former 70s singing teen sensation Stacy Lattisaw-Jackson has been up to. I wish she would do an interview with someone. I think Janet Jackson picked up right where she left off.
Here is an excerpt from the small paragraph they printed and it goes on to mention she is a minister, runs a recording studio with her husband, and is quite content being a mother:
"She left the music scene 19 years ago after making her mark with the R&B hit Let Me Be Your Angel and remakes of Love On A Two Way Street and Don’t Throw It All Away. Today, Stacy Lattisaw-Jackson at age 41 can be found in Maryland where she headlines as wife and mother of two."
"Let Me Be Your Angel " and "Don't Throw It All Away" were my favorite Stacy Lattisaw songs. Here is a YouTube audio with her duet with Johnny Gill Where Do We Go From Here?:

I did wonder where she was for a while. I just assumed she went somewhere and sat down with a family too.
She was very good, but she was one of the few who never seemed really interested in all the hoopla. Good for her.
Finally we get a little bit of info on my alltime favorite singer. Stacy was the Whitney Houston of my day. She could sing the alphabet and I'd be satisfied. She sang the soundtrack of my teenage years. I'm glad that she's a minister now and serving the Lord with all her heart but I pray that she will release another CD. I'd love to hear a Gospel CD from her, I mean if her R&B music was the bomb, her Gospel CD will definitely be Da BOMB! Her voice is unique and no one has ever been compared to her. Tiffany Evans tried with Let Me Be Your Angel but not even close! Stacy come on back with a Gospel CD and bless us with the gift that God has given you!
Yes i wondered what happen to her. she truly was a diva i think we forget how bad she really was.
I have every one of her albums. I truly do wish she would bless us with another album.I wish you the best.

after tring to get her album (vinyl-believe it or not use to have the 8 track!) for years but not wanting to give up my first born for it, i finally got her greatest hits on cd and couldn't be happier...boy the memories some songs evoke is mind boggling!!! but i would like someone to tell me if what i remember is true...i thought someone slashed her throat and i thought that was why she gave up singing anyway i am glad i am not the only one who loved music and miss it
priveralvelo, when she left the scene, I only heard that she was in the church or either got saved. I can't remember what the story was back then, but when I heard that, I knew we would not be hearing from her for a long time. She is so missed. Where did you get your greatest hits cd from? She has a website, but it seems like a family business site.
Thank You Very Much! I have written to Narada Micheal Walden on his website and tried to be persuasive. Maybe by chance, the light that is guiding Stacy Lattisaw will "turn her bulb on".Thanks for your effort in giving her fans a tid bit.
