ALL Hail the Queen
Queen Latifah was in Boston this weekend for a charity event to benefit the Roxbury Comprehensive Community Health Center, which raised more than $350,000. The function was held at the Four Seasons Hotel and she sang a set of jazz, blues, funk, and some of the 90s hits. Imagine that. The crowd rocking through some of her old rap tunes. The gala honored the governor's wife Diane Patrick and the mayor's wife, Angela Menino. Latifah addressed Diane Patrick as "cousin" while on stage, and Patrick was quoted as replying back, "I wish I were your cousin." People partied til the wee hours for a good cause.
