What's going on with our men you ask? Let me explain. More and more they're being raised by women who pass on their material lust to their sons. That's not all women but it's a lot of these young mothers who think they can raise a man on thier own. We now have men who exude feminine traits. They have hair longer than their sister, sport diamonds in both ears bigger than thier mother and love furs more than their grandma. This is what happens when hoochies have kids and raise them on thier own. The girls become video hoes and the boys are just hoes. Let me ask this. How many women on this site acted as if thir son was Samson and refused to cut his hair? Then you ask what happened to the men? "---This response was from a reader over at Media Take Out, who was responding to another reader who had asked what happened to our men.

The leading story was one which was burning up the blogs on black and urban blogs and at the time I created this entry, and had not caught on to mainstream web/blogsites. But an artist whose stagename is Raz B, formerly of a now defunct boy pop-hip-hop quasi R & B group, called B2K, is making molestation charges at their former manager(possibly cousin) named Chris Stokes. You can find the video on the Internet and here are links to the stories on Media Take Out and Sandra Rose. Other names linked to this story on blogs include Marques Houston, Omarion, Ricky Romance. The story is an important one as it draws conclusions: non-believers, believers, and those that don't care. I say, if Stokes is guilty, then he needs to be punished. And the videos out with Raz B exposing these allegations in video taped phone conversations, along with his brother Ricky Romance, appear to be damaging (in a one sided way). So far, on the other side Stokes has reportedly denied these allegations, and most recently Raz B has retracted some parts of his story.

Many components factor into this story, but that one question written above and the response from another MTO reader made me think again, about that question of what is going on with our men?

After sifting through many of the comments on both message board, this commenter whose username is Nimrod, wrote that response about what has happened to our men. And his response, as I perceive is not a direct response to the artice of abuse allegation, and does not appear to suggest that young boys get abused, because more are looking like girls. We know no one deserves to get abused because of how they wear their hair or what they wear. Pedophiles have sick, twisted, and evil minds, period.

The issues of single parent homes and feminine (straight) men caught my attention in that post, because essentially, most of the other posters either ridiculed the accuser, sided with him, or expressed sentiments of not giving a damn. So naturally, for me, Nimrod's post stood out. It drives me crazy to hear a woman say: My child doesn't need a father or I'm gonna be the mother and the father. Since when were women born with an X AND Y chromosome on the 23rd and 24th gene? Children need strong positive male figures in their lives, if a father can't be there. I used to be fooled by the notion that this was not true.

Men are wearing cosmetics such as eyeliner, eyebrow liner, lipgloss, etc. If they are not standing in front of a camera at a photoshoot, on television, filming a movie, or performing on stage, should men/boys be wearing makeup? Yes, it was odd when Prince and Michael Jackson first appeared to be wearing makeup back in the 80s, but they were musicians. But now makeup wearing seems to be growing in popularity amongst men? Check out this HollyDoss.com Unisex makeup collection. What's happening to our men? I wonder too, SunKissed.

The prison situation has men whose sentences are up checking out less than the man they were than when they checked in. Many are returning to society either openly or secretly demasculinated.
